Enabling and disabling JavaScript

If you are using Netscape 4.x or 6.x (Windows or Mac):

1. Click the Edit menu
2. Click Preferences ...
3. In the Category list, click Advanced
4. To the right of the list, click "Enable JavaScript" to add or remove the tick
5. Click OK

If you are using Internet Explorer 4.x or 5.x (Windows):

1. Click the Tools menu
2. Click Internet Options ...
3. Click the Security tab
4. Click the Internet symbol (a globe)
5. Click the Custom Level ... button
6. In the Settings list, scroll down to Scripting
7. Under Active Scripting, click either Enable or Disable
8. Click OK
9. Click Yes in the Warning! message box
10. Click OK

If you are using Internet Explorer 4.x or 5.x (Mac):

1. Click the Edit menu
2. Click Preferences ...
3. In the scrolling list, click Web Browser so that you can see the bulleted items beneath it
4. Click Security Zones
5. In the Zone: pop-up menu, select Internet Zone
6. Select Medium or Low if you want to use POLIS (or select Custom if you really want to disable JavaScript)
7. Click OK
